Sleeve styles:

Cap sleeves are very short sleeves fashioned by lengthening only the outer shoulder area of the garment to form a cap like extension. For this, measure just till the upper arm by holding the tape at the shoulder bones. The total length is your cap sleeve length. Short sleeves are a very less sleeve length style. Here, measure just below the upper arm by holding the tape at the shoulder bone. This will give you the length for short sleeve.

Next is the half sleeve were you let the sleeve near the elbow. Here you can either opt for flared ends or a tight fit. For this, measure until your arm, just above the elbow by holding the tape at the shoulder bone. This will constitute the length for half sleeves. Three quarter sleeve is the classic style. Adopted from the early 80's this style is a constant come back in the fashion industry. Measure down just below the elbow by holding the tape at the shoulder bone. The total length is your three fourth sleeve length. Finally we have the Full sleeve style. This covers your enter arm and is ideal when you are exposed to sun constantly. For this, measure down to your elbow and to your wrist by holding the tape at the shoulder bone. The total length is your full sleeve length.
